Is "Kama Sutra" part of Hindu Vedic shastra ??
There are basically 18 types of shastras in Hinduism. In which Vedas are of 4 types : Rig-veda, Yujur-veda, Sama-veda, Atharva-veda . When people go and visit Ajanta Ellora caves, they came across many erotic sciptures and paintings. So why there is vivid description about kama or lust in shastras ? People misunderstood them to be part of Hindu Vedic Shastra. But in reality they are not being part of vedic shastra. Yes, but we cannot defy the fact that they are part of Shastra.
